Fujiabian Strawberry Park, located in Fujiabian Agricultural Technological Area, Honglan Sub-distrct, Lishui District, covering an area of about 6200 mu, is the largest facility strawberry planting base in Nanjing. Under the cooperation of production, education and research all the year round between Fujiabian Group, core enterprise of the park and Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, a total of 10 new and excellent strawberry varieties have been introduced and selected, including Hongyan, Ningyu, Ningfeng, Zijinhong, Zijinjiuhong, Sweet Charlie, Shermy, Albi, etc., among which Hongyan strawberry is affectionately known as cream strawberry by the public and is loved by tourists. With the principle of “Making an example for farmers, leading farmers to do and to enter the market”, a large number of farmers are irregularly organized by the Fujiabian Technological Park to carry out various kinds of strawberry technical training, strawberry cultivation model observation and other activities, which has led a large number of contracted farmers to become rich every year. Now the average income per mu of strawberry planting is RMB 20,000, and that of the highest contracted households has exceeded RMB 35,000; the sales price has risen from RMB 5-15 /jin to RMB 8-50 /jin. Sales model: 50% by tourists pick, 20% by gift box group purchase, and 30% by brokers wholesale.

““Fujiabian” strawberries are not only popular in Nanjing and its surrounding residents, but also successfully enterthe market in Beijing and Shanghai. Lishui also become a strawberries industry base with the fastest spreading, the largest area, the highest level, the best quality, and most safety. The 5th China (Lishui, Nanjing) Strawberries Culture Festival was successfully held in March 2010, besides that, the 7th International Strawberries Symposium Lishui Sub-venue was held at the base in February 2012. Strawberries of “Fujiabian” Brand has won the titles of "Jiangsu famous brand agricultural products", "Jiangsu famous brand products", "Jiangsu top ten brands of fruit", "national gold award of quality strawberry" and so on. The strawberry industry of Fujiabian has become the "golden industry" of local farmers, the "green industry" favored by the market and the "sunrise industry" of economic development.
