Foujiabian Agricultural Science and Technology Park is an AAA state scenic spot, a national agricultural tourism demonstration site and a provincial key agricultural science and technology park. It’s founded in 1994 with a total area of 12.8 km2. It is divided into five functional areas, including central exhibition area, ecological tea area, characteristic agriculture area, high-tech industrial area and leisure tourist area, and the ecological fruit tea garden including green plums, strawberries, blueberries, nectarines, crystal pears, grapes, etc with an area of 5200 mu, the seedling breeding garden covering an area of 560 mu, the facility greenhouse covering an area of 2600 mu, the steel-framed greenhouse covering an area of 30,000 m2, and the multi-functional ecological landscape greenhouse covering an area of 5680 m2 are successively built, with the total area of economic forest and fruit reaching more than 10,000 mu.

Nanjing Fujiabian Science and Technology Park Group Co., Ltd., the core enterprise of the park, is a key agricultural leading enterprise in Jiangsu Province and one of the top 100 private science and technology enterprises in the province. It is a park leading enterprise integrating agricultural science and technology research and development, agricultural breeding, agricultural product processing and agricultural tourism service. Ten subsidiary professional companies, including New Century Horticulture Research Institute, Fujiabian Fruit Industry, Fujiabian Strawberry and Jingtian Garden, have successfully developed more than 100 products in 12 categories, such as organic fruit, selenium-rich tea, plum blossom tea, blackberry juice, crisp plum and seedlings.

With beautiful hilly scenery, good ecological environment, first-class production facilities, convenient transportation, advanced science and technology and high-quality characteristic products, Fujiaban Science and Technology Park is increasingly playing five major functions, including scientific research, production demonstration, radiation promotion, tourism, science education and. Through the comprehensive development of the hilly area, the park has formed  the leading industry characteristic layout of “forty thousand, five thousand” (“forty thousand” referring to ten thousand mu of plum garden, ten thousand mu of pear garden, ten thousand mu of strawberry garden, ten thousand mu of bamboo garden, “five thousand” referring to one thousand mu of vineyard, one thousand mu of peach garden, one thousand mu of begonia garden, one thousand mu of tea garden and one thousand mu of vegetable garden), and it relies on the hilly resources, adjusts measures to local conditions, implements stereo comprehensive and sustainable development, through the implementation of efficient agricultural development, fruit tea picking garden construction, development of agricultural tourism, successively built 2187 mu of test demonstration garden, including sound fruit trees, clonal tea, ornamental trees of greengage, strawberries, crystal pear, grapes, blueberries, 5200 mu of organic fruit tea garden, 2500 mu of greenhouse facilities strawberry garden, with the total area of economic forest and fruit reaching more than 20,000 mu, green coverage rate reaching 64.8%.In 2017, it achieved annual sales revenue of RMB 720,000,000, net profit of RMB 420,000,000, directly serving for 7,800 rural households, radiating 32,000 surrounding rural households, and per capita net income of farmers in the park reached RMB 24,000 .

At the moment, the park has built the largest green plum production base, the largest crystal pear production base, the largest greenhouse strawberry production base, the largest facility agricultural industry base in the city and the agricultural tourism scenic spot with certain influence inside and outside the province. At the same time, it expands agricultural functions and develops tourism agriculture. The park has successfully held the 19th Lishui Plum Blossom Festival, the 16th Fruit Picking Festival, the 14th Strawberry Cultural Festival since 2001, launching an outing in spring to appreciate plum (plum blossom), taste plum (crisp plum), pick plum (strawberry). It successfully held the Fifth National Strawberry Festival in 2010, which promoted the development of agricultural tourism in Fujiabian, and it has receipted more than 2,600,000 tourists.
