He is a Deputy Director and and Researcher of Fruit Tree Research Institute of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and a Master of National Grape Industry Technology System Nanjing Test Station as well. He is Deputy Director of the Berry Laboratory, main research direction: efficient cultivation techniques of grape and cultivation of new varieties. He has presided over more than 20 projects at provincial level and above, won 2 provincial-level scientific and technological awards, been authorized 1 variety right and 1 invention patent respectively, presided over the formulation of 3 provincial and local standards, presided over and participated in the cultivation of 8 varieties, and published more than 20 papers.
