Strawberry (English scientific name) is a kind of perennial herb, 10-40 cm tall, with its stem lower than or nearly of the same height as leaves, yellow pubescence densely spread. Its leaf is ternate, and the leaflets are with short petiole and relatively thick, obovate or rhombic. The leaflet’s upper surface is dark green, almost glabrous, while its lower surface is light white green, where the pubescence is sparse but relatively dense distributed along veins; yellow pubescence is densely spread on petiole. There is a short-petiole leaflet beneath cymes; its flower is bisexual; the sepals are ovate, slightly longer than accessory sepals; the petals are white, almost round or obovate elliptic. Its aggregate fruit is large, with persistent sepals being erect and close to fruit; its achene is pointed ovate and smooth. The flowering season is from April to May, and the fruiting season is from June to July.

Strawberry is native to South America and widely cultivated in China and Europe. Strawberry is of high nutritional value, contains a variety of nutrients, and has health care effect.
