No. 2 and No. 3 green house of Fujiabian fine strawberry life house are now officially opened up to the public. The citizens can come to pick up strawberry after taking protective measures.

Each full strawberry is like concealed in the green leaves, with the delicious luster, and a bit in your mouth, with slightly acid and exquisite sweet. Walk into the Fujiabian fine strawberry life house, strawberry fragrant flavor comes into your nose, and you randomly pick up strawberries, which are sweet and ruddy, and you need not to bow. You can enjoy the happiness of strawberry picking in the air in the park!

Air picking, soilless cultivation

In the morning of March 3, a journalist entered into Fujiabian Strawberry Avenue, glass greenhouses facing to each other at the roadside, all the staff wear masks and there is busy on spot.

Opening the gate of No. 3 greenhouse, you can see ranks of strawberry in the air with green leaves, white flowers and red strawberries…. “Starting from last week, No. 2 and No. 3 greenhouses were officially opened up to the public, and No. 3 greenhouse is Shengdanhong strawberry variety imported from South Korea, and No. 2 greenhouse is Hongyan variety imported from Japan and 14 local strawberry varieties.” It is introduced that Fujiabian Fine Strawberry Life House was constructed since 2017 with a total area of 45 thousand m2, is a multi-functional tourist viewing garden with picking, viewing and activities. People can also have fun while picking.

Ms. Zhang with her child for experience told to the reporter, “I had never thought the environment here was so clean, uncrowded interval between strawberry frames, waterproof film covering the floor, and you can stand for picking and never mind getting your shoes and clothes dirty, that’s so sweet!”. This was the first time for her to come here and it is total different from a normal strawberry hall, and it’s surprise.

What is unique about this life house? It is said that this glass greenhouse adopts soilless cultivation techniques. Coco coir is used to grow the strawberry. The computer system is used for controlling in the whole process with automatic irrigation water and fertilizer. Besides that, it is safer for eating with zero adding and no pollution for adopting physical and biological means of prevention and control. “Hanging strawberry picking in the air increases space use rate, making the picking more convenient, saving labor cost to a large extent, so that late management is more efficient.” said the production manager in charge of base, WANG Xue.

You can taste fresh strawberries without leaving the house.

It is known that there are 10 greenhouses in Fujiabian Fine Strawberry Life House, of which, No. 1 is a tourist service center, and the internal format is mainly for tourist services, tourist consultation, strawberry science exhibition, strawberry picking reception, cultural and creative goods sales, etc.; No. 2 and No. 3 is mainly for strawberry planting and strawberry picking experience; No. 4 is mainly for strawberry bonsai display and storage of strawberry planting tools; No. 5 is planned for floral display, flower sales and other functions; No. 8 plan is to create a strawberry coffee or the book bar with strawberry theme, combining the strawberry theme with cultural reading and entertainment spaces.

Duanrizhao strawberry, four-season strawberry, white strawberry and other small and lovely strawberry pot plants on the scene can be taken to home, fertilizing and watering, you can grow red and cute big strawberries, and taste the strawberries you planted. “The experience is great, and it’s safe to pick over here, rest assured!” Ms. Zhang, who finished picking, also took away a pot of strawberry pots that morning.

Many people doubts whether they may miss the picking period for the epidemic. Don’t worry, the picking period of Fujiabian Fine Strawberry Life House lasts 7 months from November of the year till May of next year. WANG Xue expressed that, “everyone need remember to wear a mask and come to the park for experiencing the fun of picking strawberry, each person can carry 500g for the RMB 30 as entering the park for picking (38 RMB/500g since the second 500g), you can enjoy door-to-door delivery services now if contacting the base, fresh picking, you can also taste fresh strawberries without leaving your house.”
